For over 100 years, Smiles Day has been Schuyler County's favorite day!
The first Smiles Day was celebrated in 1919 to welcome home the soldiers of Schuyler County who fought in WWI. The celebration merged with Rushville High School’s Homecoming. “A Day of Smiles” features images and memorabilia from Smiles Day over the years.
There will also be designated days for people to record their favorite Smiles Day memories. The stories will be collected and housed permanently in the Schuyler Jail Museum.
The exhibit will be on display at The HUB’s gallery for one month. The center will have extended hours during this exhibit including extra hours on Saturdays.
Gallery Hours
- Tuesday 1:00 – 5:00 pm
- Wednesday 1:00 – 5:00 pm
- Thursday 1:00 – 7:00 pm
- Friday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Saturday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
